Revue concise sur la leucémie myélomonocytaire chronique au Canada en 2025
Résumé
La leucémie myélomonocytaire chronique (LMMC) est une néoplasie clonale qui se situe à la frontière des syndromes myélodysplasiques et myéloprolifératifs. Elle se caractérise par une monocytose sanguine persistante, avec une présentation clinique très hétérogène et un risque inhérent de transformation en leucémie myéloïde aiguë (LMA). Elle est relativement rare et son incidence est mal définie. Une analyse canadienne portant sur une période de 20 ans a permis d’identifier 1 440 cas et rapporté une incidence de 2,45 cas par 1 000 000. Les approches thérapeutiques agressives sont limitées puisque cette maladie se manifeste souvent à un âge avancé, soit à un âge médian de 70 à 76 ans.
